What is the standard cancellation policy?

Our standard cancellation policy allows you to cancel your booking up to 24 hours before your scheduled pickup time for a full refund. Cancellations made within 24 hours may be subject to a cancellation fee.

What are the minimum requirements to rent a car?

To rent a car with Kente Ride, you must be at least 21 years old, have a valid driver's license for at least 2 years, and provide a valid credit card for payment and security deposit.

What insurance coverage is included?

All our vehicles come with comprehensive insurance coverage including collision damage waiver, theft protection, and third-party liability. Additional coverage options are available for purchase.

Cancellation Policies

How do I cancel my booking?

You can cancel your booking through your account dashboard, by calling our customer service at +233 552306004, or by visiting any of our locations. Make sure to have your booking reference number ready.

When will I receive my refund?

Refunds are typically processed within 5-7 business days after cancellation. The exact timing may vary depending on your payment method and bank processing times.

Can I modify my booking instead of cancelling?

Yes, you can modify your booking dates, pickup location, or vehicle type subject to availability. Modifications made within 24 hours of pickup may incur additional fees.

Rental Requirements

Do I need an international driving permit?

If you're a visitor to Ghana, you'll need a valid international driving permit along with your home country's driver's license. Ghanaian residents can use their local driver's license.

What documents do I need to bring for pickup?

You'll need to bring your driver's license, credit card used for booking, a valid ID or passport, and your booking confirmation. All documents must be in the primary driver's name.

Can someone else pick up the car for me?

Only the primary driver listed on the booking can pick up the vehicle. Additional drivers can be added at the time of pickup for an additional fee, provided they meet our requirements.

Insurance & Coverage

What is not covered by insurance?

Personal belongings, damage due to negligence or misuse, driving under the influence, and violations of rental terms are not covered. Always review the full terms and conditions.

What happens if I have an accident?

Immediately contact the police and our 24/7 emergency hotline. Do not admit fault and ensure all parties are safe. We'll guide you through the claims process and provide assistance.

Can I purchase additional coverage?

Yes, we offer additional coverage options including premium protection, personal accident insurance, and roadside assistance plus. These can be added during booking or at pickup.

Payments & Pricing

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), debit cards, and mobile money payments (MTN Mobile Money, Vodafone Cash). Cash payments are not accepted.

Is there a security deposit required?

Yes, a security deposit is required at pickup. The amount varies by vehicle type, ranging from ₵500 to ₵2000. This is held on your credit card and released upon vehicle return.

Are there any additional fees?

Additional fees may apply for extra drivers, GPS rental, child seats, late returns, and fuel charges. All fees are clearly displayed during the booking process.

What happens if I return the car late?

Late returns incur hourly charges. If you're more than 4 hours late, a full additional day will be charged. Contact us immediately if you anticipate being late.

Vehicle & Pickup

Where can I pick up and drop off the vehicle?

We have 15 pickup locations across Ghana including Accra Airport, Kumasi, Takoradi, and major hotels. You can drop off at any of our locations or arrange delivery for an additional fee.

What condition should I expect the vehicle to be in?

All vehicles are thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, and inspected before each rental. You'll receive a vehicle with at least 3/4 tank of fuel and in excellent mechanical condition.

What if the vehicle breaks down?

Contact our 24/7 roadside assistance immediately. We'll either repair the vehicle on-site or provide a replacement vehicle. Roadside assistance is included in all rentals.

Can I extend my rental period?

Yes, subject to vehicle availability. Contact us at least 24 hours before your scheduled return to extend your rental. Additional days will be charged at the daily rate.
