Terms of Service

1. Definitions

• "We", "Us", "Our" means Kente Ride Limited and its digital platforms, including kenteride.com.
• "You", "User" means any person who accesses or uses the Service.
• "Rider" means a User who requests or receives transportation through the Service.
• "Driver" means a User who provides transportation to Riders through the Service.
• "Host" means a vehicle owner who lists their vehicle for rent or use on the platform.
• "Trip" means any transportation or rental service booked through the platform.

2. The Service

Kente Ride Limited provides a technology platform that connects Riders with independent Drivers or Hosts. We do not provide transportation services, own vehicles, or employ Drivers. All Drivers and Hosts are independent contractors who operate at their own discretion.

By using the Service, you acknowledge that Kente Ride Limited is not responsible for the acts, omissions, or conduct of Drivers, Hosts, or any third parties.

3. User Accounts

• You must be at least 21 years old to use the Service.
• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password.
• You may not create multiple accounts or use another person's account without permission.

4. Payments and Fees

Payment Method

You must add a valid payment method such as Mobile Money, debit, or credit card. All transactions are securely processed by third-party payment providers.

Receipts

A digital receipt will be issued after each booking.

Currency

All transactions are processed in Ghanaian Cedis (GH₵).

Driver and Host Payments

Drivers and Hosts will receive payment for completed Trips or rentals, less applicable service fees. Payments are processed weekly via your preferred payment method.

Service Fees

Kente Ride Limited charges a service fee on each completed Trip or transaction. Details of these fees are displayed in your account.

5. Rules for Riders

• Confirm the correct Driver, vehicle model, and license plate before boarding.
• Wear your seatbelt during every Trip.
• Treat Drivers and vehicles with respect.
• A cleaning fee (up to GH₵200) may apply if you leave excessive dirt or damage.
• Drivers may cancel or end a Trip if you act violently, harass others, or violate any laws.
• You are responsible for any property damage caused to the Driver's vehicle during the Trip.

6. Rules for Drivers and Hosts

• You must hold and maintain a valid Ghanaian Driver's License and Ghana Card for verification purposes.
• Your vehicle must have a valid DVLA roadworthiness certificate and active insurance.
• Vehicles must be clean, safe, and meet Kente Ride's quality requirements.
• You must comply with all applicable Ghanaian road transport and ride-hailing laws.
• You must not discriminate based on race, religion, gender, or destination.
• Frequent cancellations without cause may result in temporary or permanent account suspension.
• Payments are made weekly to your selected Mobile Money or bank account, after deductions of service fees.

7. Cancellations

For Riders

You may cancel a Trip before the Driver is assigned or en route. A cancellation fee may apply if the Driver is already assigned or has arrived at the pickup point.

For Drivers

Repeated or unjustified Trip cancellations may lead to account suspension or termination.

8. Liability and Indemnification

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." You use it at your own risk.

To the fullest extent permitted under Ghanaian law:

• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
• We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access to the platform.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Kente Ride Limited, its directors, and employees against any claims, losses, or damages resulting from your use of the Service or your breach of these Terms.

Our total liability to you will not exceed the total fees paid by you in the six months preceding the claim.

9. Data Protection and Privacy

We collect and process your personal data in accordance with the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) of Ghana and our Privacy Policy.

By using the Service, you consent to the collection, use, and sharing of your data to facilitate rides, process payments, and improve platform safety. You can view our Privacy Policy at www.kenteride.com/privacy.

10. Termination

• You may delete your account at any time.
• We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service immediately if you breach these Terms, engage in fraud, or misuse the platform.
• Any outstanding payments or obligations will remain valid after termination.

11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana.

Any dispute shall first be resolved through mutual discussions. If unresolved, the matter shall be referred to mediation in Accra, Ghana.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material updates will be communicated via the platform or email. Continued use of the Service after updates means you accept the revised Terms.
